KLB-DAV CET 2026

1. What is the KLB-DAV Common Entrance Test (CET)?

The KLB-DAV CET is a national-level online entrance examination conducted for admission into undergraduate programmes offered by KLB DAV College for Girls, Palampur (H.P.). Admissions are strictly merit-based, determined by this test.


2. Which programmes are covered under the CET?

The CET is conducted for admission to:

  • BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration)
  • BCA (Bachelor of Computer Applications)
  • B.Com (Bachelor of Commerce)

3. Who conducts the KLB-DAV CET?

The CET is conducted online by KLB-DAV's admission partner Sri Bala Gurukulam Foundation Trust (SBGFT), using its proprietary testing platform www.tracktests.org as per the official agreement with the College.


4. What is the mode of the examination?
  • Mode: Online
  • Platform: TrackTests (Web & Mobile App)
  • Question Type: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)

5. What is the exam pattern of the CET?
  • Total Questions: 50 MCQs
  • Marks per Question: 4
  • Maximum Marks: 200
  • Negative Marking: 1 mark deducted for each incorrect answer

6. Is the CET compulsory for admission?

Yes. All admissions to BBA, BCA, and B.Com programmes shall be made only through the CET. There is no separate offline or management quota admission process.


7. When will the CET notification be released?
  • Official Notification Date: 20 February 2026
    The notification will be published on:
  • College website
  • Notice board
  • Social media platforms
  • Print media (Hindi & English newspapers)

8. When does CET registration start and end?
  • Registration Start Date: 20 February 2026
  • Registration Closing Date: 04 April 2026
Registrations are accepted online only through www.tracktests.org
9. What is the registration/prospectus fee?
  • Fee: ₹500/- per candidate
  • The fee is payable online at the time of registration.

10. Is the registration fee refundable?

No. The CET registration/prospectus fee is non-refundable under all circumstances.


11. Can I apply for more than one programme?

No. You are required to choose the course you wish to seek admission to in the Tab - Basic Information after registration. For more information, see the video Tutorial. 

12. When will the CET be conducted?
  • Date: 10 April 2026
  • Time: 09:00 AM – 10:00 AM
  • Duration: 50 Minutes

13. How will the results be declared?
  • Result Processing: 11–14 April 2026
  • Result Declaration: 15 April 2026
Results are prepared course-wise and category-wise and shared with the College.
14. When will the merit list be published?
  • Merit List Publication Date: 20 April 2026
    The merit list will be published by KLB DAV College for Girls on its official platforms.

15. Does qualifying the CET guarantee admission?
No.  Qualifying the CET does not guarantee admission . Admission depends on:
  • Merit rank
  • Eligibility verification
  • Document verification
  • Availability of seats
  • University and statutory norms

16. Who conducts counselling and admissions?
  • Counselling & Admission Process: Conducted by KLB DAV College for Girls
  • Commencement: From 21 April 2026 onwards
Final admission approval rests solely with the College.
17. Is there any scholarship through CET?
Yes, merit-based tuition fee rebates are available for:
  • BBA
  • BCA
Scholarships are awarded based on the CET rank, subject to the College's rules. Admission to the B.Com programme is not covered under the scholarship scheme. 
18. Is there any negative marking in the exam?
Yes. 1 mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
19. What happens after the merit list is published?
After merit list publication:
  • Shortlisted candidates are contacted for counselling
  • Documents are verified
  • Seats are allocated
  • Admission is confirmed by the College.

21. Does SBGFT/Tracktests have any role in teaching or academics?

No. SBGFT’s role is limited to conducting the entrance test and counselling support. All academic delivery, curriculum, teaching, and institutional services are handled by KLB DAV College for Girls.
